Our entire life process focuses on various external activities involving all the five elements discussed above, with the aim of living our purpose. But activities can lead to wear and tear, and wrongful activities could eventually lead to chronic diseases. The rapid rise of chronic illnesses due to the advent of modernization—despite enormous money being spent on health care by governments in developed countries—is a matter of serious concern.

It is critically important to take sufficient time for relaxation and detoxification to release many of the toxins our body accumulates, and to allow for the repair of our overworked organs and body parts.

Chapter 6 discusses seven techniques to detoxify our bodies for optimum health and wellbeing. As an example, the quality of rest we have during the night and effective elimination (like bowel movements) are also discussed in this chapter. The processes of relaxation and detoxification are magnified once we carry them out with full awareness.
