Mindful Eating

The book is all about going back to basics that make life possible in the first place.

“We are what we eat” is a common saying. Equally important is when, how and where we eat. The fundamental reason for eating is to acquire energy and nutrition to enable our bodies to make the necessary efforts towards a healthier, more prosperous and jubilant life.

Unfortunately, eating has become an obsession for many people, often carried out unconsciously, resulting in sickness and diseases.

There is an overemphasis on eating for good health, which for most of us leads to confusion. There is an overwhelming plethora of diets, supplements and views on nutrition. The key to mindful eating is bringing awareness into our eating process. Learning to tune in and listen to ourselves will allow us to know when we are hungry, what we are craving and, most importantly, when to stop eating.

Chapter 4 discusses seven different aspects of eating and how mindful eating can make a significant impact on our health and wellbeing.
